Free tier — levels, departments, people

Start from scratch
Create your own departments, assign a line manager and team members, and add levels. Drag employees between departments and drag whole departments between levels.

Or build it from a spreadsheet
Click "Staff list" to download an Excel template, fill in whatever data you have and upload it to generate the chart. Anyone without a department lands in the Unassigned box and can be dragged onto the chart once the decisions are final or a new department exists.

Add a shared services layer
ProDrag a servicing department onto the department it supports. It lifts into a Shared services band with colour-coded dotted connectors down to each recipient.

Embed shared-service staff
ProDrag a person out of a shared-service department into a recipient department and choose Embed. They appear in both teams, tinted in that service's colour, so headcount is never double-counted.

Private by design

Shared services, drawn properly
Drag a department onto the business unit it supports and it lifts into a Shared services band, linked with colour-coded dotted connectors that carry through to your PDF and PowerPoint exports.
You can also embed a shared-service person into the team they support — they appear in both lists, tinted in that service's colour, so nobody double-counts headcount.
Both features are part of Pro. The free tier keeps levels, departments, people and PDF/PNG downloads.
Delete means deleted
Free charts live in your browser only — clearing them removes them instantly. For paid accounts, deleting a chart is a hard database delete, not a hidden "archived" flag.
